18 lb, 4 oz Baby Jesus

Dear Lord Baby Jesus, 18lb, 4oz porkchop of a Baby Jesus....haha!

We were so honored to play the Creche family at church this past weekend. I don't think Baby Jesus was quite the porker that Aidan is, but what the hey...right? And he did so good, just cute as a button, but I might be a biased Mary...and my Joesph is HOT to, right? Lucky lucky Mary!!

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

That's right folks, it's CHRISTMAS!! And unlucky for us this year, we are unable to make it home to see family and share our precious gift with everyone. Sucky reason #1 for living away from home: Our extended families have only met Aidan once, and he was 3 weeks old. Let me tell you, A LOT has changed since he was 3 weeks old. Haha.

So this year, we've decided to send out Christmas cards to all our family far away, so they get a little piece of Aidan at Christmas. We have a Shutterfly account to share photos with everyone, so the obvious choice for our Christmas cards was to go through them. And they have the CUTEST cards, not just for the Holidays. I am already picking out his birthday party announcements, which I guess it's only 6 months away, I better get on it!! They have really cute Christmas cards. You can also check out their calendars, they are buy one get one 50% off right now. I am digging the calendars for future presents because I KNOW everyone wants to see Aidan all year round!! It is quite entertaining, haha!! But choosing just the right photos for the calendars, that will be the tricky part. Lucky for me, I found a great promo for Christmas that if I told all my faithful followers about Shutterfly, I would get 50 free Christmas cards. Amazing!! If you want to try and reach the deadline that is today you can enter here to get 50 Free Christmas cards too.

So keep an eye out for so amazingly cute cards!! :) Gotta love Shutterfly, and CHRISTMAS!!!

I'm new at this, be gentle!

Hello!!

I decided to bite the bullet and start one of these!!

I am excited to use this to keep everyone at home updated on the day to day happenings here in TN!  First update, NEW BLOG!!  haha

Actually, we've had a pretty big weekend.  Valentine's Day was very exciting for us.  Woke up to  a note on my bed that Michael left, saying he "had more to run out and pick up", but he was back as I was reading it and brought in the first of 3 parts to of my Valentine's Day, finished collage frames that we got for Christmas!!  It's not a big thing, but there are GREAT collage frames with pictures of my friends and family in our house now, which gives me motivation to keep going!  So as we walked out the bedroom to see where we wanted to put them, I saw part of part 2, our kitchen set up for the most romantic dinner!  It was all cleaned up with the table set for 2, table cloth and all, with our wedding china that we have never used, complete with candles and a rose. SO ROMANTIC!!!  So then we (I mostly) relaxed all day, watched all the lovey dovey movies on tv while Michael studied hard for his test on Monday before getting ready for dinner.  We decided to get all dressed up fancy, but not see each other til we were done...so i shaved and took my time getting ready, getting all dolled up for the "big reveal".  Michael then cooked me dinner, a 3 course dinner, by candlelight.  And did our "gift exchange".  I got a dock for my iPhone and I got Michael a book from Brook's Brothers about how to "Speak like a gentleman"  it's really funny and actually has some good advice.

So that was our FIRST Valentine's together!  Really, first EVER that we have been in the same place, together...it was great!

And right now, it is Sunday, the hubby is home, "working" in bed next to me, I hope since he isn't studying that he is ready for this test tomorrow...I am really ready for my day off tomorrow for President's day, we're going to the UT Lady Vols basketball game, they are playing #4 Duke, I am going to be making my dad so SO jealous!!

Ok, that was my first post!!  I will learn how to upload pictures soon!
